book hangover

book hangover: a word i haven't seen since my days on the blue hellsite. but it's really the best to describe what i'm feeling now. i don't really feel like reading anything else now. i don't really feel like doing anything else. so i'm just rereading Loveless, i guess, but i'm not quite in the mood to binge that a second time in as many days. just reading it at a reasonable pace, now.

gender wiggles

gender wiggles is a wonderful word that we need to bring back from 2018.

it refers to the (early) phases of figuring out that one is not cis and/or doesn't (want to) conform to the gender roles set out for one, and experiences relating to those phases; including things that are only recognisable in hindsight. particularly, experiences from before one well and truly realises that one is trans (if applicable); the first signs of discomfort with one's assigned gender at birth.
