Midnight McDrive

my sister got her driving licence, and to celebrate, the two of us went for a Midnight McDrive! it turned out to be a good exercise with lots of braking, pulling up, a difficult turn and some multitasking.

i first had the idea of Midnight McDrive for the sake of adventure like four years ago, when my friends started getting their driving licences, but we never got around to it. the dream finally came true!

zombie bread

in addition to normal villages populated by villagers, minecraft generates rare abandoned villages with lots of cobwebs and a few zombie villagers. my absolute favourite thing is to look through the chests and collect the bread. it doesn't make a difference in minecraft but i somehow love eating the zombie bread? i just enjoy it. love zombie bread.

phở day

so i made phở bò two days ago! i started at 10:00 and dinner was ready at 18:00, so i spent pretty much the entire day on it.

but i'm not really that happy with the result tbh? it doesn't taste anything like restaurant phở, although the coriander and lime juice help a bit. but the most important thing is that my parents and sister liked it, and that i had lots of fun in the process.

pleasure and honour

i like to start my presentations with something like "I have the pleasure and the honour of presenting to you..." something something. at serious fancy events you can just say that with a straight face, but in class it's more of a joke to break the ice a bit, because everyone knows you don't want to be standing in front of class.

i had a class presentation today in a group of four. i volunteered to do the opening, and i ended up fielding the questions too, that was quite fun. i absolutely hate preparing presentations, but once i'm standing there it's not so bad.

tuyauterie

l'égout de l'un des éviers dans la cuisine était bouché. je me suis armé·e de gants en latex, un seau et un couteau (ça peut servir de tournevis à pointe plate) et je me suis attaqué·e à la tuyauterie. un de mes colocs a essayé de m'en dissuader, disant que les autres colocs abuseraient de ma générosité si je m'occupe de tout le nettoyage. je lui ai assuré que j'étais mû·e par l'égoïsme puisque j'ai moi aussi besoin des éviers.

j'ai donc démonté les tuyaux, tout nettoyé et puis rassemblé. ça fonctionne à merveille maintenant. j'espère que c'est vraiment étanche, je n'ai pas trop-trop confiance en mon habileté en plomberie.

alors où est-ce que je peux revendiquer mes points d'adulte ?
