pleasure and honour

i like to start my presentations with something like "I have the pleasure and the honour of presenting to you..." something something. at serious fancy events you can just say that with a straight face, but in class it's more of a joke to break the ice a bit, because everyone knows you don't want to be standing in front of class.

i had a class presentation today in a group of four. i volunteered to do the opening, and i ended up fielding the questions too, that was quite fun. i absolutely hate preparing presentations, but once i'm standing there it's not so bad.
