i love the cooking instructions on noodle packaging with their weird overly formal translations, with things like "subsidiary food" (i see that one quite often) and "Extra addition of meat and vegetables are suggested for palatable enhancement"
last week, i ordered some books from a Dutch indie bookstore. i was planning to also go book shopping next week and specifically buy Dutch books, because the Boekenweek started on 29 May and you get the book week gift for free if you spend €15 on Dutch books, and this year's Wat wij zagen by Hanna Bervoets looks really interesting.

but lo and behold, on 29 May part of my earlier order arrives, and they included the gift book even though i ordered before the book week and only bought English books! so nice of them!

(though tbh i needn't have worried about getting the boekenweekgeschenk in the first place because i'm sure i'd be able to borrow it from someone at my literary student association.)

i have some really good gear that i want to talk about in Minecraft Dungeons!

absurdly overpowered bow
my highest-level character (power level currently 170-ish) has a Powerbow with:
87322 base damage
+33% damage from Power III
+44% damage from Supercharge III
+0–75% damage from Growing III
+20% damage from armour's damage boost stat

so from a bit of a distance it can easily do over 250k damage. as you can imagine, this is what i go for if i'm faced with powerful mobs, like enchanted ones. however, i have to be really careful not to shoot any with the Deflect enchantment, because if that arrow comes back at me, it will kill me every single time (because 48k health with 45% damage reduction won't save you there).

and with a level 160 fireworks rocket, it can even do over 500k damage, which is enough to one-shot most mobs in the game, including enchanted ones. it's like, stupid much damage.

fighter's bindings
my second-most powerful character recently got Fighter's Bindings with some really good enchantments:
Radiance
Swirling
Critical Hit

which, as far as i know, all have a random activation chance upon each hit. and since the Fighter's Bindings are the fastest melee weapon in the game (again, as far as i know), they activate often. especially if i also have a good Deathcap Mushroom.

BLENDER MODE ACTIVATED

(i also have a scatterbow with Dynamo III and a Torment Quiver, so i can vaporise any mob, including bosses, in one hit. it's almost too easy.)
