clean stovetops

the stoves got replaced in the kitchen i share with seven other rooms (it's a student flat). this puzzles me greatly because there was nothing wrong with the old stoves as far as i could tell, and all the other kitchens i've peeked into seem to still have the old stoves. but like, i'll take it i guess? i'm just a little miffed because i scrubbed the stovetops just the day before, and the next day they take away my shiny clean stovetops!
