critical bookshelf overflow imminent
Feb. 16th, 2022 10:15 pmi've been joking for a long time that i have to keep lending out many books because they don't all fit on my shelves anymore, but that's like happening for real now. i've had books i bought recently piling up on my desk and just now when i went to shelve them, i found that i almost couldn't.
fortunately i managed to clear some space in my ex's bookshelves, and while i was at it, i put all my nonfiction and poetry in one place. (Your Silence Will Not Protect You by Audre Lorde is kind of vexing; it's a collection of half essays, half poetry, so i don't know which category to put it in. for now my nonfiction and poetry fit on one shelf – until i get Ace back! – so i just put it right in the middle.)
but this little reorganisation didn't solve the problem, and didn't even delay the crisis by much. because i just ordered six books (this will surely cure my insanity), and i have a bunch more books lying on my desk, and i have lent out eight books at the moment, so uh... yeah.
