a pitch i wrote for a book club:

Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner
funny, light-hearted, very spicy

It all starts with Cassie, a university student, having a one-night stand with an older woman – who turns out to be her best friend's mother Erin. They both feel like it's a bad idea to keep seeking each other out, but when said best friend/daughter invites Cassie over for the christmas holidays, they find they don't want to go back at all.

The relationship is depicted as transgressive enough to add a little extra excitement, but at the same time it's very wholesome. Also, this book goes from 0 to 100 by page seven and never slows down.
