print vs cursive

i love writing Russian in print letters (they look so good!), but i also like the look of cursive (and it's the more common way of writing among Russian speakers, i've been taught). and it's so tough because my Russian is not good enough for me to write much, so there's like, a limited amount of Russian text for which i must choose a style...
