small pleasures of life:
  • selecting a bunch of books from my shelves and piling them up on my desk for Consideration
  • deliberately leaving the pile of books out on my desk overnight in order to savour putting them back the next day
my university newspaper recently featured an article about "strange dreams" that people are having during/because of the pandemic. tbh most of them sounded very mundane and hardly related to the pandemic, other than perhaps being induced by loneliness. i expected to see some mention of the type of dreams i've been having about going to the supermarket and only realising i've forgotten my mask once i'm already inside. or heading to the book shop to pick up my order and being halfway there when i remember i haven't booked a timeslot for pickup. i've been having endless variations of the former, but also suprisingly many of the latter, considering i've only done one timeslot pickup so far.
