love language II

I could tell you, I know exactly how;
My skill with words is a matter of pride.
But I keep my pencil still for now:
Some words I choose to hide.

I love language, but my love language
Is not language – some things must be shown.
So I find other ways to bridge
The distance between new and known.

But I don’t abandon my words today,
I’m saving them for a time when
You already know what I want to say.
And I hope words won’t abandon me then.
